This is a beautifully handmade Waldorf-style comfort doll, often called a lovey or blanket doll, created in the spirit of early Montessori and Steiner educational toys.
These dolls were designed to be:
• Soft
• Minimal in facial detail
• Natural in materials
• Emotionally soothing rather than overstimulating
This one features a sweet stitched face, soft cloth head, quilted body, plaid cotton arms, knotted corners, and a charming red nightcap. It opens flat like a blanket for cuddling and folds into a little doll shape — making it perfect for naps, nursery décor, or heirloom toy collections.
